Johnson and Johnson and AWIS New Jersey have partnered to offer “Johnson and Johnson immersion program” to the 2018 New Jersey Women in STEM Entrepreneurship Challenge participants. The immersion program will offer a unique opportunity to the female founders to access an entrepreneurship training module created by Johnson & Johnson leadership.

Catherine Salerno is Global Vice President of R&D supporting the existing portfolio of products for Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. In this position, Ms. Salerno is responsible for commercialization technical support for the $12B Consumer Product portfolio including Beauty, Baby, Oral Care, Topical Health Care, and Women’s Health. Ms. Salerno’s team is a cross functional technical organization of over 250 employees located at multiple R&D and manufacturing sites in the four regions. In her role she represents In-Market R&D on the Global R&D Leadership Team as well as the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team.
A graduate of Saint Bonaventure University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, Ms. Salerno began her career at AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) developing new polymer technologies, and later at National Starch and Chemical Co., working in 100% polymer adhesive systems. Ms. Salerno is the author of 15 issued U.S. patents, and in 2000 was inducted to the Tribute to Women in Industry (TWIN) in recognition of her scientific leadership at J&J.
Ms. Salerno currently resides in New Jersey. She has two grown children and she enjoys traveling, cooking, and sports with her family.
Anna Prilutsky currently serves as Vice President of Research & Development, fully accountable for leading innovation platforms, product development and pipeline commercialization for Johnson & Johnson Global Baby Care Portfolio.
Anna began her career at Johnson & Johnson Consumer and has progressed through roles of expanding responsibility across our Baby, Beauty and Personal Care Franchises and left J&J in 2015 to pursue external opportunities. Anna most recently was Senior Vice President, Global R&D and Portfolio & Project Management for the Revlon and Elizabeth Arden portfolio of equities, fully accountable for leading innovation platforms, product development and commercialization, claim substantiation and product life cycle analysis for a growing $3B+ Global Color Cosmetics & Skin Care Portfolio.
Anna received her M.S. degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She also attended Rutgers University and St. Petersburg Institute of Technology in Russia to complete her B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering.
Born in Russia and bilingual in both the Russian and English languages, Anna appreciates the international opportunities of her profession. She cherishes the diversity of thought she encounters in meeting and working with people around the globe. Today, she resides in New Jersey with her husband, daughter and son. In her free time, she enjoys gourmet cooking and supporting her children’s activities, such as competitive fencing. Her daughter recently started experimenting with skincare products, and is an avid Neutrogena® fan.
John leads the External Innovation Department within J&J Consumer R&D and joined J&J in 2015. Prior to J&J, John was Vice President of Strategy and New Business development at Philips research. Prior to that, he was responsible for Strategic Alliances in Philips and also worked as a Strategy Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
John has a strong background in open innovation, new business creation, partnerships and strategy. John has a track record of creating new emerging businesses, setting up an internal incubator, driving the cultural change towards Open Innovation and managing alliances.
John has a degree in business economics and a Ph.D. on joint ventures from Tilburg University.
As the Regional R&D VP, Mona leads the NA R&D Leadership Team which is responsible for ensuring a robust pipeline of innovation that supports regional growth strategies across all franchises and is also accountable for talent management and development within the region.
She began her professional career in 1994 at Warner Lambert as an Oral Care product development scientist and moved to jobs of greater responsibility assuming leadership of Oral Care, Gastrointestinal and Upper Respiratory franchises. In 2008, she moved to Advanced Technologies where she was responsible for the launch of a new DTC business in Health & Wellness – the first of its kind within J&J. After a four-year tenure in Advanced Technologies, Mona transitioned to NA Deployment.
Mona has a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Rutgers University. She and her husband have two sons.
